Pay Rate: $12.00/hr - $18.00/hr plus commission depending on background and experience. POSITION OVERVIEW: Guitar Center embodies the world of creativity, self-expression, and the thrill of the unknown. As a Guitar Technician, you will be the backbone of our store, ensuring that every customer leaves with a smile on their face and a song in their heart. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Troubleshoot and repair guitars, basses, and other instruments • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to Guitar Center's high standards • Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and making recommendations • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve store goals • Stay up-to-date on the latest products and trends in the music industry • Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge • Maintain accurate records and reports, as needed • Perform other duties as assigned by management. REQUIREMENTS: • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or degree in music, electronics, or a related field preferred • 1-2 years of experience in a music retail environment, or equivalent experience in a related field • Strong technical skills and ability to learn new products and technologies • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities • Physical demands include standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and bending to reach equipment.
