Mercure Wellington Abel Tasman Hotel is looking for an enthusiastic Guest Service Agent to join our dynamic Front Office team. This role will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, handling guest inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise. You will also be required to maintain accurate records of guest transactions and ensure the smooth operation of the front desk. Responsibilities: • Provide exceptional guest service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions, and resolving any issues that may arise. • Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues that may affect their stay. • Maintain accurate records of guest transactions, including check-ins, check-outs, and room assignments. • Ensure the smooth operation of the front desk, including managing cash handling, processing payments, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals and objectives. Requirements: • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role or industry. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. • Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
