Growth Marketing Manager
Job description
We are a young, politically engaged team that does digital communication with a stance. We don't just create content – we want to move people. The people who follow us via email, social media, or messaging channels are the backbone of this: the larger and more active this community is, the greater our political impact. For this, we are looking for a person who can grow this list of supporters and turn them into real participation.
As Community Growth Lead, you will be responsible for the technical and strategic infrastructure of our organizing: You will build funnel structures that attract new newsletter subscribers, develop automated journeys (e.g., via ManyChat), and ensure that people from a community become active supporters. You think in terms of data, processes, and scalability – and at the same time, you understand why political momentum matters and how to translate it into activation.
You will work closely with our other departments and contribute your own ideas in daily meetings. You will take ownership of projects independently: You will develop and optimize digital activation systems and conceptualize low-threshold digital participation formats and actions.
Responsibilities
- Building, maintaining, and further developing our CRM and funnel structures
- Conceptualizing and implementing automated digital journeys (e.g., ManyChat, email flows, chatbots)
- Developing activation funnels that turn reach into concrete participation (from sign-up to action or donation)
- Continuously testing, evaluating, and optimizing campaigns based on data (A/B tests, conversion analysis)
- Content management and technical development of community channels (newsletter, WhatsApp, broadcasts, etc.) – including independent writing of copy for journeys, broadcasts, and funnel steps
- Close coordination with the organizing and content team to translate reach into sustainable mobilization structures
- Introducing new tools, automations, and technical trends from the field of digital campaigning
Qualifications
- A knack for list growth: You recognize momentum, know how to draw people into a funnel with it, and keep them digitally engaged
- Practical experience with automation tools (e.g., ManyChat, N8N/Zapier/Make, newsletter tools) and enjoyment in building user journeys yourself
- Experience with growth and marketing tools (Meta Business Suite, Airtable, Google Analytics, Google Sheets, or database systems)
- Strong analytical understanding: You enjoy reading data, drawing conclusions, and optimizing systematically
- Experience in lifecycle/funnel marketing, marketing automation, or growth marketing – ideally in a political or social context
- Affinity and ability to independently learn new digital tools
- A feel for political discourse – you understand which topics and which tone work in our context
- Interest in using technical know-how for political mobilization
- Experience with project management and team communication tools, such as Trello or Slack
- High degree of personal responsibility, structured way of working, and enjoyment of teamwork
- Good writing and German language skills
- Availability as soon as possible and close to full-time (35h+), but if you are available later, please apply anyway
Benefits
- Working with purpose & tangible societal impact
- Flexible working: Berlin office + remote, whatever works best for you
- Top equipment, production studio & tools for professional content production
- Co-creation desired: good ideas are tried out, not filed away
- Clarity & development: honest feedback culture, strategic sparring, learning as standard
- Part of a strong network of progressive actors
- A team with a stance, trust & real collaboration at eye level
- Regular team days & offsites to improve together
- Fair compensation & transparent framework conditions
- Job ticket
