Job description

Growth Marketing Lead (f/m/d)

Your Role

As Growth Marketing Lead (f/m/d), you are the operational driver of our growth engine: you implement, manage, and optimize our growth-oriented marketing measures across channels and develop the marketing roadmap and campaign strategy together with our Growth Managers. You lead the Performance Marketing team and are responsible for budgets, channel strategy, and our CRM and Lifecycle Marketing. Your area of responsibility is intentionally broad: in addition to Performance and CRM, it includes partnerships and external service providers; in the future, other marketing topics such as events may be added. Based on your experience, you know exactly how Performance Marketing really works, and you challenge and manage internal teams, agencies, and partners on an equal footing.

What do you do specifically?

Growth Marketing & Channel Management

  • You are responsible for CAC, payback period, and marketing's revenue contribution, manage channels and campaigns against these target metrics, and feed back your ongoing evaluation of cohorts and retention as customer quality into acquisition decisions.

  • You are the subject matter expert for all paid channels (including Google, Meta, LinkedIn) and have budget authority in your channels: you independently set up campaign structures, challenge and optimize them, are responsible for pacing against our goals, and reliably plan spend.

  • You are responsible for the campaign infrastructure around our paid activities — email sequences, nurturing tracks, and conversion-optimized landing pages — and coordinate closely with Content and Product on structure, content, CRO, and campaign coordination.

  • You are responsible for the Growth Marketing roadmap and develop campaign strategies together with our Growth Managers, for whom you are a subject matter sparring partner — always keeping an eye on new growth channels.

  • You work closely with our Product Team to constantly monitor and improve our organic placements (SEO, AEO).

  • You are responsible for CRM and Lifecycle Marketing end-to-end (especially HubSpot): segmentation, automations, and campaigns along the customer lifecycle, measured by activation, conversion, and repeat purchase. You shape this area yourself, rather than just managing it as an interface.

  • You are responsible for qualifying and scoring leads against our target customer profile, manage routing and handover, and continuously coordinate lead volume and support capacity.

Team & Collaboration

  • You lead a team of Performance Marketing Managers and CRM Managers, develop them professionally, and let the area of responsibility grow with the team.

  • You independently manage agencies, partners, and external service providers — from selection and remuneration models to briefing and quality assurance to ongoing performance evaluation.

  • In the future, other marketing topics such as events may grow into your responsibility — prior experience is a plus, but not a requirement.

  • You manage the approval process for advertising materials and customer communication together with Compliance and ensure the required documentation — a fixed step in every campaign plan.

  • You further develop our Creative Operating Model: a continuous test pipeline across all formats, controlled by hit rate and creative-driven efficiency, in close coordination with Content production — and ensure, together with Brand and Content, the consistency of message and presentation between performance campaigns and brand presence.

Strategy & Reporting

  • You actively contribute to the marketing team's growth strategy — as someone who not only thinks but also implements: you explore new channels and content scaling potentials, develop affiliate, partner, and referral channels as an independent growth lever, and document relevant processes in playbooks.

  • You are responsible for the measurement architecture and reporting end-to-end: server-side tracking, attribution models across all channels, and KPI transparency across all campaigns, so that the entire team can make informed decisions — supported by AI-driven workflows that automate production, analysis, and reporting.

What you bring

  • At least 5 years of experience in Performance Marketing or Growth Marketing, ideally in a digital B2C environment with complex products and long sales cycles, or in B2B marketing with brand elements

  • Leadership experience with Performance Marketing Managers, agencies, and a creative function — internal, via agency, or via UGC production — including agency management from selection and remuneration models to ongoing performance evaluation

  • Proven depth in at least two paid channels (Google, Meta, LinkedIn): you not only manage campaign structures but also challenge and improve them from a technical perspective, make data-based decisions, identify optimization potential early on, and communicate performance clearly to the team

  • Budget responsibility for Paid Media: you know how to allocate a seven-figure budget meaningfully across channels and optimize it based on data, think in terms of channel P&L and contribution margin, and represent trade-offs to management

  • Experience in designing CRM and Lifecycle programs, as well as hands-on experience with CRM tools (especially HubSpot), landing page systems (e.g., Webflow), and the tracking stack — server-side tracking, conversion APIs, attribution, and common analytics platforms: you can think along and co-shape the campaign infrastructure

  • Abstraction and leadership skills: you can quickly learn, structure, and take responsibility for new topics — even beyond Performance Marketing

  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration and in managing agencies, partnerships, and external service providers

  • Experience with events or other marketing disciplines is a plus, but not a requirement

  • Clear, convincing communication in German and English

Mindset

You are a marketing craftsman with depth: you know that good Growth Marketing is not just based on strategy, but on precise execution — you think conceptually and work hands-on in campaigns when necessary, and you love both. You lead with conviction, but without ego, and are happy about good ideas, regardless of their origin. You don't build a deck and wait: you want to see what works, test quickly, adapt, and optimize — and you have the experience to distinguish between noise and real signals.

You don't meet all requirements? Apply anyway! We look forward to your application!

What we offer you

  • Diversity: Flat hierarchies and cultural openness make you an integral part of our diverse team of international talents from day one.

  • Flexibility: We don't complicate your life. In flexible work models, working hours, and mobile working arrangements, you'll find the right balance. 28 days of vacation and 2 additional days off on December 24th and 31st also provide you with relaxed breaks.

  • Development: We support your personal and professional development with an annual development budget of €3,000. In addition, you will receive high-quality equipment consisting of a MacBook, headphones, and a display at the beginning of your employment at LIQID.

  • Well-being: Regional organic products keep you fit at the office on-site — and our health initiatives or our Health Assistance Program do so far beyond.
