About Us

At VREY, we are building the EnergyOS for apartment buildings.

There are over 3.3 million multi-party houses in Germany – and they are the black hole of the energy transition.

At the same time, regulation is forcing owners into massive investments: solar power is becoming mandatory, smart meters must be rolled out nationwide in the next 5 years, and heating and mobility are being electrified. The apartment building is transforming from a mere concrete asset into an active part of the decentralized energy infrastructure.

What's missing is an integrated system that makes this transformation economically and operationally manageable.

VREY combines certified metering point operation with its own software, enabling owners for the first time to sell their self-generated solar power directly to their tenants – easily and without becoming an energy provider themselves (§42b EnWG).

This turns regulatory compulsion into a profitable and predictable opportunity:

• Double-digit returns and value appreciation for owners,

• ~20% electricity cost savings for tenants, and

• digital infrastructure for storage, heat pumps, and flexibility.

We already manage a three-digit number of projects – including the largest portfolio holders and housing cooperatives – in all 16 federal states. This makes us one of the leading providers in the market after a very short time.

As part of our seed funding, we have raised €3.3 million from leading impact and energy VCs (including Rubio Impact Ventures, HTGF, Kopa Ventures). With the fresh capital, we are entering our next growth phase and strategically expanding our team.

Your Profile

• You already have initial experience in Consulting (Tier 1/Tier 2), High-Growth Start-ups (ideally in Operations or Process Optimization), or Project Management through internships

• You are currently studying Business Administration, Business Informatics, or a comparable field and have a strong affinity for technology and AI

• You have already worked with AI tools like Claude, Claude Code, and ChatGPT etc., or are eager to quickly get up to speed

• You think entrepreneurially, make well-founded decisions independently, and set clear priorities with a focus on impact, scalability, and long-term company success

• You have a strong interest in start-ups, energy, or real estate

• You are consciously not looking for a 9-to-5 job, but want to take responsibility in a fast-paced, founder-close environment, build structures, and actively shape growth

• You strive to become the best version of yourself and seek environments where you can unfold your full potential

• You are located in Berlin (or willing to relocate) – our office is our home base

• You speak German and English fluently

Your Tasks

Mission of the Role

You will work closely with our Head of Growth Konrad and our CEO Julius, taking on a central role in building our AI-enabled Growth setup.

Your goal: to support our project managers in implementation, further develop internal processes, and enable data-driven decisions. In doing so, you will gain a deep understanding of energy projects, operations, and business building.

1. Process Analysis & Prioritization

• Together with the teams (including Sales, Partnerships, CEO Office), you will screen existing workflows and identify where manual work consumes the most time

• You will evaluate automation potential based on effort vs. impact and derive a clear prioritization from this

• You will document requirements and process logic in a way that allows a solution to be built directly from them

2. Technical Implementation

• You will analyze existing processes and identify complexity and optimization potentials

• You will help structure decision-making processes and set up automation operationally soundly

• You will support the development of scalable technological structures, standards, and templates for operational projects

3. Process Optimization & Internal Structures

• You will further develop internal processes and tools (e.g., in Airtable) to increase operational efficiency and scalability

• You will identify improvement potentials in existing workflows and implement concrete optimizations, e.g., through automation (Claude)

• You will take on cross-functional special projects in the areas of organization, tooling, and internal structures
