Group Trade Finance Officer

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer About the Role We are seeking a Group Trade Finance Officer to manage and support the Group’s import and export trade finance activities. This role is responsible for handling trade finance instruments, ensuring compliance with banking regulations and internal procedures, and coordinating closely with banks, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. The Group Trade Finance Officer will play a key role in managing Letters of Credit, guarantees, trade loans, and shipping guarantees. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing trade finance strategies to support the Group’s business objectives; • Managing and maintaining relationships with banks, suppliers, and internal stakeholders; • Coordinating closely with the Trade Finance Team to ensure effective management of Letters of Credit, guarantees, trade loans, and shipping guarantees; • Ensuring compliance with banking regulations and internal procedures; • Providing expert advice on trade finance matters to internal stakeholders; • Identifying and mitigating risks associated with trade finance transactions; • Developing and maintaining knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; • At least 5 years of experience in trade finance, preferably in a banking or financial institution; • Strong understanding of trade finance instruments, including Letters of Credit, guarantees, and trade loans; • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
