About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Group Software Engineer to join our global team at our South Brisbane head office. This permanent full-time position is an exciting opportunity for a talented software engineer to contribute to the development of innovative solutions that improve patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, test and maintain software applications using various programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) and frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Django). • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products. • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including code comments, API documentation, and release notes. • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of coding standards and best practices within the team. • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and new tools, and apply this knowledge to improve our software development processes and products. What You'll Need: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. • At least 3 years of experience in software engineering, preferably in a healthcare-related environment. • Strong understanding of software development life cycles, including Agile methodologies. • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python) and familiarity with relevant frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Django). • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and cloud-based technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure). • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
