Group Financial Accountant

RPO's client who is a holding company that invests in specialized Agri-input companies is currently seeking a Group Financial Accountant to join their team of professionals in the Northern Suburbs. These group companies own, develop, import and distribute a broad range of agronomy, forage and vegetable seeds into mainly Africa, Europe and other emerging international markets. The Group financial accountant will be responsible for month-end accounting and reporting processes, interim/year-end closing, and consolidation of group financial results. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and consolidation procedures. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare and review monthly financial statements for the group. * Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes. * Perform account reconciliations and variance analysis. * Consolidate financial results from various subsidiaries. * Prepare and review consolidated financial statements. * Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. * Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. * Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with external auditors. * Implement and maintain effective financial controls. * Identify and resolve accounting issues. * Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects. Requirements: * Qualified CA(SA) or equivalent. * 3+ years of post-qualification experience. * Experience in financial accounting and reporting. * Experience with consolidation and group accounting. * Strong understanding of IFRS. * Experience with ERP systems. * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
