Group Finance Accountant

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a skilled Group Finance Accountant to join our client's team in Cape Town. The Group financial accountant will be responsible for month-end accounting and reporting processes, interim/year-end closing and reporting aspects, year-end audit, budgeting process and other financial related projects which could change from time to time. Responsibilities Month End Preparing loan account reconciliations and product development cost calculations Review of subsidiaries’ month-end close submissions Preparing month-end journals and reporting packs for review Assisting with monthly variance analysis and reporting Interim/Year-End Closing Assisting with the year-end audit process Preparing and reviewing audit files Assisting with the interim and year-end reporting process Budgeting Preparing budget templates and supporting documentation Assisting with the annual budgeting process Ad hoc projects Assisting with ad hoc projects as and when required Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles 3-5 years post-article experience in financial accounting, preferably within a group environment Experience in preparing monthly and annual financial statements Experience with month-end and year-end close processes Knowledge of IFRS standards Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure Benefits Competitive Salary Performance Bonus Training & Development Opportunities Paid Time Off Medical Aid Pension Fund
