Ground Couriers
Job description
We are looking for reliable, customer-focused and safety-conscious Ground Couriers to join our Pietermaritzburg team.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort, pack, collect and deliver freight accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure timely deliveries and collections in line with company SLAs.
- Verify delivery addresses and recipients.
- Complete Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation accurately.
- Maintain communication with the zone controller while on the road.
- Report damaged, missing or problematic freight immediately.
- Ensure all collections have valid waybills.
- Maintain excellent driving standards and comply with all traffic and safety regulations.
- Ensure the security of the vehicle and freight.
- Assist with loading, offloading and general warehouse duties when required.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) and/or relevant experience.
- Valid Code 10 Drivers Licence and PDP.
- Minimum 1 years experience in logistics, courier or transportation.
- Good knowledge of local routes, areas and neighbourhoods.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good planning, organisation and time management.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Teamwork, adaptability and professionalism.
