Job description

In a Nutshell

Have you finished your studies, are you bursting with energy, and don't just want to watch but take on real responsibility?

At Picnic, you'll start directly in a leadership role! As a Graduate Operations Supervisor (m/f/d) in our Fulfillment Center (FC) in Kabelsketal, you are the engine of the location. Supported by investors like the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, we are jointly building Europe's most modern, 100% electric delivery system.

What awaits you

  • Team Leadership: You are a coach and role model – with your genuine, intrinsic interest in people, you lead and inspire your team of 3 team leaders and over 30 warehouse employees.
  • Shift Leadership: In the FC, you always keep an overview, prioritize tasks in daily operations, and ensure that every order goes out on time.
  • Variety: You'll experience the perfect mix of action directly on the warehouse floor (3–4 days a week) and strategic deep dives in the FC Office (1–2 days a week).
  • Process Optimization: There's no standing still with us. Have ideas? Here, you'll develop your own logistics projects and take our processes to the next level with your drive.
  • Ownership: You are eager to take responsibility, even when things are outside your immediate area. You look beyond your own nose and proactively take things into your own hands.

What you bring with you

  • A completed degree (Bachelor or Master) in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field.
  • You are passionate about logistics and ideally have some initial insights from the warehouse sector (e.g., through internships or working student positions).
  • You communicate fluently in German & English and have the necessary flexibility to work in two shifts (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM & 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, including Saturdays).
  • An extremely high level of self-motivation. You see things yourself, proactively tackle them, and take responsibility – even beyond your own immediate scope.
  • A genuine, intrinsic interest in people. You are empathetic, approachable, and love motivating and developing your team.

What you can look forward to

  • Get started – with us: Become part of our international team in an environment that fosters real growth and an “Act like an Owner” mentality. With us, you have the opportunity to drive projects independently, test new ideas, and directly witness how your work makes an impact in our fast-growing company.
  • Sustainability at its core: Be part of the revolution. You contribute to a greener future – through our 100% electric fleet and a supply chain that reduces food waste.
  • The Basics: We provide you with everything for your success – including a laptop and mobile phone, as well as access to exclusive employee discounts (Corporate Benefits) for travel, technology, and much more.
  • Time to Recharge: With 30 vacation days per year (for a 40-hour week), you ensure the perfect balance between work and rest.
  • Nourishment for Winners: We take care of you. Enjoy a fresh, free breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day in our Fulfillment Center, with plenty of snacks and fruit for an energy boost in between.
  • Unforgettable Moments: We are more than just a team. From our legendary annual ski trip to Christmas parties and performances by our own Picnic band: We celebrate our successes together.
  • Individual Mobility: You will receive a company car (also for private use) and free parking spaces at Picnic locations are available to you.
  • Food Rescuers: Get our exclusive “Too-Good-To-Go” bags and save delicious food – only for our employees!
  • Learn & Grow: Benefit from internal learning & development opportunities through exciting workshops and intensive bootcamps to constantly expand your skills.
  • Security for Tomorrow: We support you with an above-average contribution to your company pension plan, so you also think about the future.
