Graduate in Training: Community and Development Researcher

Pele Energy Group’s Research Unit drives evidence-based community and developmental research that informs inclusive growth and sustainability. The Unit conducts studies such as Socio-Economic Needs and Assets Assessments (SENA) and social impact assessments generating insights that guide development strategies, policy, and responsible business practice in the renewable energy sector. The Graduate Researcher will support the Research Unit in implementing socio-economic and community-based studies. Key Responsibilities: * Assist in the design and implementation of research methodologies for socio-economic and community development studies. * Conduct literature reviews, data collection, and analysis using appropriate tools and techniques. * Contribute to the development of research reports, presentations, and publications. * Collaborate with other researchers and stakeholders. * Participate in fieldwork activities, including site visits and community engagements. * Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the research process. * Assist in the preparation of research proposals and project reports. * Provide administrative support to the Research Unit as needed. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Economics, or a related field. * Strong analytical and research skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methods. * Experience with data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R) is an advantage. * Interest in renewable energy and community development.
