Graduate Behaviour Support Practitioner

Full Time 86000.00 - 86000.00

Job description

We’re Australian Health & Therapy Group (AHTG) — home to Therapy Pro, Adaptability Therapy, Tashacare, and Avina. With 400+ allied health professionals supporting thousands of Australians across VIC, NSW, SA, and QLD, we’re passionate about building careers that matter and services that genuinely change lives.

At Avina, we’re excited to offer graduate and early-career clinicians the opportunity to begin their Behaviour Support career through our IBIS (Individualised Behaviour Intervention Support) Program — a structured, 12-month development pathway designed to support you from entry-level through to Proficient practice and beyond. If you’re newly endorsed (or working toward endorsement) and looking for a program that prioritises learning, supervision, and confidence — this is for you.

You’ll receive:
  • Online training in Positive Approaches to Behaviour Support (PABS) via the TBS Learning Portal
  • Weekly 1:1 clinical supervision initially, gradually reducing as confidence grows
  • Group training sessions led by Senior BSPs, Clinical Supervisors, and the Lead Practitioner
  • Access to monthly Behaviour Support & Psychology Communities of Practice
  • Regular check-ins with the Lead Practitioner, Positive Behaviour Support
  • Informal coaching, mentoring, and peer support
  • Guided self-directed learning aligned to the PBS Capability Framework
Why Join Avina as a Graduate BSP?
  • Structured, protected learning time — your development comes first
  • 5 billable hours per day once established, with flexibility as you build confidence
  • Paid CPD days and ongoing training opportunities
  • Strong clinical leadership and approachable supervisors
  • Flexible work options across clinic, community, and home-based admin
  • Up to 12 additional days off per year through ADOs
  • A genuinely supportive, values-led team that wants you to succeed
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Supporting NDIS participants with behaviours of concern using positive, evidence-based approaches
  • Developing behaviour support plans with close supervision and guidance
  • Working collaboratively with families, support teams, and other allied health professionals
  • Gradually building your caseload in line with your learning and confidence
  • Completing reports and admin from home, with support at every stage
What You’ll Bring
  • Eligibility for NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner registration (or working toward it)
  • A genuine interest in Positive Behaviour Support and working in the NDIS space
  • A reflective, curious approach to learning
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • WWCC, NDIS Worker Screening Check, driver’s licence, and Australian work rights
Ready to Start Your BSP Career the Right Way? If you’re looking for a graduate program that’s structured, supportive, and designed to set you up for long-term success — we’d love to hear from you.
