If you wish to be part of our team, we are looking for an experienced and hands-on Golf - Irrigation Foreman, who will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects related to the irrigation systems of the Tenuta Toscana golf course. This fundamental role ensures the optimal functioning of the entire irrigation infrastructure, supporting the agronomic team in maintaining excellent playing conditions throughout the year.

The ideal candidate possesses a solid technical knowledge of golf course irrigation systems, strong leadership skills, and a proactive approach to maintenance and water resource management.




Main tasks and responsibilities


  • Supervise daily operations, inspections, fault diagnosis, and repair of all golf course irrigation systems.
  • Program and monitor irrigation cycles to optimize turf health, water conservation, and course playability.
  • Collaborate with the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents to adapt irrigation practices to agronomic needs and weather conditions.
  • Coordinate and train a small irrigation team, ensuring timely intervention in case of problems and effective preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of irrigation activities, water consumption, repairs performed, and inventory stock.
  • Calibrate and maintain sprinklers, valves, pumps, and central control systems (e.g., Toro, Rain Bird, or equivalent systems).
  • Coordinate with suppliers, specialized technicians, and contractors when necessary.
  • Promote sustainable and environmentally friendly practices in all irrigation-related activities.
  • Support larger projects, such as upgrades, expansions, and installations of irrigation systems.


Required skills


  • 3 to 5 years of experience in golf course irrigation systems, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or coordination role.
  • Solid practical knowledge of automated irrigation systems, hydraulics, pump stations, and weather-based controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret irrigation designs, electrical schematics, and hydraulic diagrams.
  • Direct experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical components.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent organizational and documentation management skills.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various climatic conditions and on-call availability for emergency interventions when necessary.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language; knowledge of Italian is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to relocate to Tuscany.



Contractual terms


  • CCNL Turismo Contract – Full time.
  • Annual monthly salary starting from €48,000.00.
