Chief Accountant

Your responsibilities

• maintaining full accounting in accordance with Polish accounting regulations,
• responsibility for tax settlements (incl. VAT, CIT, etc.), GUS reporting, JPK files, KSEF
• contact and cooperation with: Social Insurance Institution (ZUS), Tax Office, and other tax authorities, external institutions including banks, etc.
• supervision and control over accounting books,
• responsibility for developing a chart of accounts in accordance with specified reporting standards, controlling requirements, and tax law,
• preparation of monthly and annual balance sheets and income statements in accordance with applicable regulations,
• personnel management, payroll preparation, ZUS settlements, etc.
• knowledge of issues related to employee employment
• preparation of statements and reports according to the needs of superiors,
• maintaining the company's fixed assets register,
• support for company management regarding optimal accounting, financial, and tax solutions, internal control of accounting and financial processes, implementation of modern solutions in accounting process automation
• responsibility for the procedure of confirming balances with contractors, settlement of company asset inventories, maintaining all accounting records,
• supervising the work in the accounting department

Our requirements

• minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position (Chief Accountant position)
• knowledge of income tax, VAT tax, and Labor Law issues,
• higher education in a relevant field,
• fluent knowledge of tax law and the Accounting Act,
• very good knowledge of MS Office package,
• experience working with accounting software
• ability for analytical thinking, openness to seeking new solutions,
• attention to document flow processes and process automation,
• stress resistance, diligence, and responsibility in performing duties,
