Chief Accountant with English

We are recruiting for

For an international company in the manufacturing industry, we are looking for a person for the position of Chief Accountant.

Your responsibilities

• Comprehensive management of accounting books in accordance with the Accounting Act and tax regulations.
• Management and development of the accounting team, including control of document flow and correctness of entries (5 people).
• Active participation in the implementation of a new ERP/financial and accounting system, including design and optimization of accounting processes, definition of business requirements, creation of procedures, and ensuring compliance of processes with group requirements and legal regulations.
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
• Preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, additional information, and complete financial statements.
• Preparation of tax declarations, in particular VAT, CIT, and others required by law.
• Supervision over the correct and timely settlement of taxes and public liabilities.
• Preparation of financial reports for the capital group and management reports for headquarters.
• Preparation of reports for GUS (Central Statistical Office), NBP (National Bank of Poland), Customs Office, and other public institutions.
• Supervision over settlements with contractors.
• Coordination and supervision of inventory processes and valuation of materials and finished products.
• Cooperation with auditors, tax advisors, law firms, and external institutions.
• Participation in the improvement of financial and accounting processes and supervision over the functioning of quality systems in the finance area.
• Preparation and authorization of payments resulting from approved cost documents.

Our requirements

• Higher education in a relevant field (finance, accounting, economics).
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Chief Accountant or Deputy Chief Accountant, preferably in a manufacturing company.
• Very good knowledge of the Accounting Act, tax regulations, and balance sheet law.
• Experience in preparing financial statements and cooperating with auditors.
• Knowledge of issues related to VAT and CIT settlement and reporting to state institutions.
• Experience in team management.
• Ability to work in an international environment.
• Communicative knowledge of English (B2) - work with an English-speaking CFO.
• Knowledge of ERP systems.
• Highly developed analytical skills, responsibility, and independence in action.
• Experience in implementing systems/transformations/acquiring companies.
