GL Specialist

You are a key figure in operational accounting and report to the Accounting Lead. This role is a stable, executing function where you get a lot of independence and closely work together with your experienced colleagues. Your main responsibilities: Ensure monthly and annual closing (provisions, depreciation, fixed assets). Prepare and independently submit the VAT return and support other fiscal obligations. Assist in preparing the annual report and preparing audits. Actively contribute to optimizing accounting processes. As a person, you are: Precise, stress-resistant, and analytical with a passion for numbers. Independent and proactive, you take ownership and think about process improvements. A stable and loyal team player who can handle a dynamic environment. Your profile: Bachelor's degree in a financial direction (e.g., Accountancy-Fiscaliteit). At least 3 years of relevant experience in GL or all-round accounting, preferably in a large organization. Good knowledge of BE GAAP and fiscal law (especially VAT); IFRS is a plus. Fluent with Excel; experience with SAP S/4HANA is a strong asset. Fluent in Dutch with a good basic English knowledge.
