GL Accountant

As GL Accountant, you are responsible for the correct and timely processing of general accounting for various entities within the group. You ensure that the financial foundation is solid and provide valuable insights to management.

Specifically, you will be involved in:

• Processing and checking postings in general and analytical accounting.
• Month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, including reconciliations.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns and other statutory reporting.
• Preparing financial reports and supporting audits.
• Analyzing financial data and processes, and proactively making suggestions for improvement.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including controllers, auditors, and other financial colleagues.

For this role, we are looking for a GL Accountant who:

• Has a bachelor's or master's degree in a financial field.
• Has at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Has thorough knowledge of VAT legislation and accounting standards.
• Has experience with ERP systems (knowledge of Navision is a plus).
• Combines an analytical mindset with a solution-oriented approach.
• Works independently but also functions well in a team.
• Works accurately and in a structured manner.
• Speaks fluent Dutch; knowledge of English or French is an asset.
