GIS System Architect (m/f/x) – ArcGIS Enterprise

Our products help companies to efficiently plan, manage, and optimize networks, plants, and processes – used daily worldwide.

As a GIS System Architect, you will design, dimension, install, and configure ArcGIS Enterprise environments for utility customers. You will advise customers on on-premises, cloud, and hybrid scenarios and will perform health checks, maintenance, and updates during ongoing operation.

The Tasks

Concept and Customer Consulting

• Dimensioning of ArcGIS Enterprise environments based on the expected system load for utility customers

• Comparison of on-premises, cloud, and hybrid operating scenarios

• Advising customers in presentations and workshops, as well as preparing technical decision papers

Installation and Configuration

• Installation and configuration of ArcGIS Enterprise and VertiGIS components in customer and managed services environments

• System hardening and advice on required network authorizations

• Creation of system sketches and installation documentation for handover to operations

Operation and Technical Coordination

• Health checks and error analyses on running ArcGIS Enterprise environments

• Planning and implementation of maintenance and updates

• Technical coordination of the ArcGIS Enterprise environment within the project, as well as preparation of technical content for customer offers and tenders

• Experience with ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Portal within the context of ArcGIS Enterprise

• Experience with the installation and configuration of ArcGIS Enterprise

• Basic knowledge of network and security requirements for ArcGIS Enterprise environments

• Language skills: German C1, English B2

Desirable

• Experience in the dimensioning of ArcGIS Enterprise environments

• Basic knowledge of relational databases, especially SQL Server and Oracle, as well as Python, PowerShell, and SQL for recurring installation, analysis, and maintenance tasks

• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
