We are looking for an external developer in the GIS field for the extension of a system for risk analysis (Exposure Management) to include spatial functions. The focus is on implementing GIS-based functionalities for spatial risk analysis based on OpenStreetMap data.

Your tasks

• Conceptual and technical coordination of GIS functionalities, particularly for point-in-polygon analyses

• Implementation of the processing of OpenStreetMap data taking into account polygons, relationships, and administrative boundaries

• Integration of GIS functions in existing specialized applications for underwriting and risk management

• Production-ready implementation and conduct of deployments according to internal standards using Azure DevOps

• Technical and professional coordination with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and the development team

• Support during software testing, professional acceptance, and system-side release processes

Must-Requirements

• Very good knowledge of geodata processing/GIS

• Experience with point-in-polygon analyses

• Fundamentally understanding OpenStreetMap data structures (polygons, relationships, administrative boundaries)

• Fundamental backend development experience in productive applications

• Experience handling complex geometries and performance optimization

• Experience integrating technical functions into existing IT applications

• Knowledge of deployments and CI/CD processes

• Analytical and structured thinking

• Self-reliant and responsible work style

• Communication and team skills in interdisciplinary, international project teams

• Solution-oriented and pragmatic approach

• Very good German or English language skills in writing and speaking

• Willingness to on-site work (induction, refinements, sprint changes, possibly workshops)

Might-Requirements

• Knowledge of Azure DevOps
