We are a non-profit organization that lives education equality by offering digital, free learning support and online courses for students whose social or financial situation would otherwise prevent them from accessing help. Aufgaben

In this central interface position, you will take over as Executive Director the overall responsibility for the strategic and operational development of Lern-Fair e.V. within a structured succession planning framework.

1. Führung & Teamintegration

• You lead a team with currently 12 full-time employees, 6 mini-jobbers, and over xy honorary staff members
• You strengthen cross-sectional cooperation
• You establish clear roles, responsibilities, and priorities
• You work closely with the board of directors and supervisory board
• You prevent overload through steering and delegation

2. Strategische Priorisierung & Organisationsentwicklung

• You translate the organization's strategy into clear operational goals
• You set priorities and make decisions, even with incomplete information
• You develop structures and processes further (communication, decision-making paths, governance)
• You ensure that responsibility is distributed within the team

3. Fundraising & finanzielle Stabilität

• You are responsible for the fundraising strategy
• You maintain relationships with sponsors in a binding and transparent manner (also on-site)
• You ensure deadlines, budget calls, and reports
• You bear overall responsibility for budget planning and liquidity

Qualifikation

MUST HAVE:

• You are passionate about education equality for young people in Germany. If you want to become our Executive Director, you must be burning with passion for our mission and we need to feel it!
• You bring at least 3 years of leadership experience from your professional career. You had the responsibility for a department or division of full-time employees, ideally even in an honorary, non-profit, or NGO context.
• You have collected experiences in non-profits or social organizations and know how we tick.
• You have excellent German language skills (C2) and secure English language skills (at least B2)

• You have outstanding skills in financial planning, budget control, and project management
• You are known for your excellent communication skills, leadership, empathy, self- and time management, and creativity when solving problems.
• You lead calmly, clearly, and with composure and provide orientation for your team.
• You speak openly and transparently about topics and are good at prioritizing various tasks

• Remote Work: We have no headquarters. You work from your home office (residence in Germany) and can shape your working location flexibly. For the networking of this role, travel is however always necessary again.
