Managing Director (m/w/d) Product Development & Sales

An established B2B software company is looking for an entrepreneurial leadership personality who not only thinks strategically, but also actively intervenes in operational processes and consistently implements change.

We are seeking a Managing Director who can really develop an organization, question structures, reorient teams, and take responsibility. This role combines Leadership, operative implementation strength, and technological understanding, particularly in the context of modern AI applications.

The focus is not on mere administration, but on active transformation of an existing organization.

The location is in the North Rhine-Westphalia region with clear expectations for regular presence on site.

This role is aimed at personalities who like to work hands-on, take responsibility, and make clear decisions even in challenging situations.

Aufgaben

• Active development of the company with focus on structure, efficiency, and sustainable growth
• Bau and adaptation of organizational structures, particularly in areas such as Sales, Support, and Product
• Führung through change processes with clear focus on implementation, not just concept
• Closely cooperate with Product, Engineering, and Sales to create an integrated overall strategy
• Introduction and implementation of a clear AI strategy including concrete application cases in the company
• Foster a modern, performance-oriented corporate culture with clear responsibilities
• Ensure efficient, pragmatic processes in Technology and Development
• Further development of an economically oriented B2B sales strategy
• Strengthen position in regulated environment, particularly in the Public Sector
• Active guidance and accompaniment of transformation processes on organizational and cultural levels

Qualifikation

• Mehrjährige Erfahrung in einer GF Rolle innerhalb eines B2B Softwareunternehmens, idealerweise in mittelständischen oder wachstumsorientierten Strukturen
• Nachweisbare Erfahrung darin, Organisationen aktiv zu verändern, umzubauen und weiterzuentwickeln
• Hands on Mentalität mit der Bereitschaft, auch operativ Verantwortung zu übernehmen
• Erfahrung im Umgang mit unterschiedlichen Stakeholdern und starken Persönlichkeiten innerhalb einer Organisation
• Fundiertes Verständnis für Softwareprodukte, Organisationsstrukturen und Vertriebsmodelle
• Konkrete Erfahrung in der Anwendung oder Implementierung von AI Lösungen im Unternehmenskontext
• Ausgeprägte Fähigkeit, technologische Themen pragmatisch in die Organisation zu übersetzen
• Verhandlungssichere Deutschkenntnisse sowie sicheres Business-Englisch
• Hohe Präsenzbereitschaft vor Ort im Raum Nordrhein-Westfalen
• Idealerweise Erfahrung im Public Sector oder vergleichbar regulierten Märkten
• Überzeugendes Auftreten durch Klarheit, Entscheidungsstärke und Empathie
