Job description

Aventur is a family office and has been investing private capital since 2013. Our focus is on Small-Cap Private Equity transactions in the leveraged buyout sector – particularly succession situations in German-speaking countries. We invest in a wide range of industries, from manufacturing to services and retail businesses. Historically, we have achieved well above-average returns with our strategy.

For a roll-up strategy in the industrial C-parts sector, we are looking for a:

Managing Director (m/f/d)

The company has been successfully positioned in an attractive niche for over 30 years. It offers a very broad product portfolio of industrial C-parts and achieves EBITDA margins of approx. 20%. A significant portion of the revenue is recurring. We are currently in discussions with companies in adjacent areas to expand the group of companies. We are looking for Managing Directors (m/f/d) for both the holding company and future subsidiaries.

The company is located in Southern Germany. The Managing Director should be on-site four days a week initially.

The role is also intended as an entry into our investment activities. After about two years, there is the possibility, upon request, to take on another role in our investment team or company portfolio.

Responsibilities

As the successor to the founder, your core responsibilities are:

  • Ensuring a smooth handover with the founder
  • Securing trust and buy-in within the team
  • Leading the company on a sustainable growth and development path

You will independently identify issues, get involved where necessary, and implement them hands-on as a "doer". The goal is the further development of the company and the operational structuring of growth. In this role, you will work closely with our M&A team.

The following are particularly important:

  • Operational management of the company and ensuring smooth business operations
  • Defining and hands-on implementation of operational development projects
  • Achieving operational results, KPIs, as well as P&L and budget targets
  • Authentic representation of the company towards internal and external stakeholders

You will have sole power of representation with full P&L responsibility. The shareholders are professional investors and will support you with a broad network, sufficient capital, and a professional expert advisory board.

Qualifications

  • Strong entrepreneurial drive, ambitious and self-motivated
  • Hands-on management experience in an excellent company
  • Pragmatic implementer. Experience with operational development projects – ideally in a technical or digital B2B context
  • Experience in personnel management, ideally in a medium-sized environment. Experience in B2B sales is an advantage
  • Ideally, experience in a strategic top-tier management consultancy, successful track record in building and leading diverse teams, and experience with P&L and budget responsibility

Benefits

In addition to the exciting, responsible role, we offer you competitive compensation and a long-term development path in an excellent environment.

Become part of our small, highly qualified team of ex-consultants and work on exciting private equity transactions. Apply now!
