Managing Director (m/f/d) digital used car trade

We, Michael Krohn Consulting, are a personnel consultancy that is exclusively active for the automotive trade.

Our client is a specialized e-commerce platform that transforms the traditional sales of used automobiles into a purely digital business model. The company is characterized by a fully digital processing of purchase, financing and leasing processes away from the classic stationary trade and wants to expand its market penetration in the future.

We are looking for an automotive-experienced managing director colleague for the managing partner.

Tasks

• Strategic and operational overall responsibility for all major business areas at two locations
• Close sparring partner of the managing partner – You actively shape the company strategy
• Development and implementation of a robust purchasing and sales strategy based on market, competition and customer analysis
• Establishment of a uniform market processing: pricing and terms logic, service promises and service standards
• Definition of KPI systems and control mechanisms for sustainable sales and profit growth
• Further development of efficient end-to-end processes – from purchasing to inventory and order management to delivery
• Collaboration with financing partners and stakeholders on planning, performance and growth capability

Qualification

• Several years of management experience at management or divisional management level
• Completed studies (business administration, economics, technology or similar) or comparable qualification
• Verifiable experience in the automotive trade and/or eCommerce as well as in a B2C sales environment
• Provable successes in strategy development, scaling and improvement of results (sales, margin, efficiency)
• Experience in managing several locations and in establishing clear reporting structures
• Very good German and English skills
• Entrepreneurial leadership personality with a high degree of implementation orientation
• Strong customer orientation and clear values
• Very good communication and negotiation skills at all levels
