Job description
Responsibilities and Assignments:
Lead software engineering teams, acting closely to people and ensuring alignment between business strategy, technical execution, and value delivery.
Develop and manage technical leaders and engineers, promoting professional growth, engagement, empathy, and a psychologically safe environment.
Ensure the efficiency of the software development lifecycle, from planning to delivery and maintenance.
Define, track, and analyze engineering metrics such as burn down, burn up, velocity, lead time, throughput, and quality of delivery, using data for decision-making.
Prioritize demands with product and business areas, balancing team capacity, deadlines, risks, and delivered value.
Ensure the adoption of agile processes in a pragmatic manner, integrated with classical management models, governance, and predictability.
SUPPORT architectural and technical decisions, maintaining proximity to the team and ensuring quality standards, scalability, and maintainability.
Promote continuous improvement in processes, engineering practices, code quality, and delivery culture.
Manage conflicts, risks, and organizational changes with resilience, clarity, and responsibility.
Serve as a bridge between engineering, product, operations, data, and executive leadership.
Requirements:
Solid experience in people management and leading software engineering teams, with clear, empathetic, and assertive communication.
Vision for performance evaluation, continuous feedback, career development, and succession planning.
Strong responsibility, resilience, and emotional maturity to act in high-pressure environments.
A minimum of 15 years of experience in IT, with a relevant track record in software development.
Practical experience as a developer, with a deep understanding of code, architecture, and best practices.
Mastery of the Microsoft ecosystem (.NET, C#, ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core, SQL Server), including versioning, CI/CD, and engineering.
Maturing knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban or similar), applied adaptively.
Strong understanding of development metrics, quality, predictability, and continuous improvement.
Experience in high-scale environments, critical systems, digital transformation, and modernizing legacy systems.
Vision with cloud (especially Azure), DevOps, platforms, proximity to product, and organizations focused on value (SaaS, e-commerce, product).
