Manager for Managed Detection and Response (MDR) Services

A services consultancy is looking for a Senior Manager for Managed Detection and Response (MDR) Services with the following profile:

What would be your purpose in this role?

Support sales teams by scoping technical requirements, preparing customized proposals, and ensuring efficient delivery of MDR services to clients. The role combines technical expertise, operational oversight, and client relationship management to provide high-value cybersecurity solutions that effectively meet client needs.

What functions would you perform?

• Sales Technical Support
• Collaborate in sales to define the technical scope of MDR services based on client requirements.
• Provide accurate estimates of resources, timelines, and costs for MDR service proposals.

• Proposal Development
• Design comprehensive and customized MDR service proposals, including methodologies, SLAs, and implementation plans.
• Integrate cybersecurity frameworks and best practices (ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, etc.) into MDR service designs.

• Technical Knowledge and Continuous Improvement
• Maintain expert knowledge of MDR solutions, SIEM and SOAR technologies, threat monitoring systems, and emerging cybersecurity trends.
• Understanding of attack lifecycles and containment frameworks like NIST.
• Ability to measure and improve critical indicators such as Mean Time to Detection (MTTD) and Mean Time to Response (MTTR).
• Familiarity with attack frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK to strengthen threat analysis and management.

What do you require for the position?

• Engineering in Systems, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related fields.
• GSOM (GIAC Security Operations Manager) certification desirable.
• Minimum 8 years of experience managing MDR services or related areas in cybersecurity operations.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Extensive hands-on experience with MDR technologies and solutions (e.g., SIEM, threat hunting, incident response).
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity, including threat modeling, vulnerability management, and compliance regulations.
• Solid strategic thinking and data-driven decision-making based on analysis and insights.
• Experience collaborating with sales teams to define scopes and develop technical proposals.
• Strong communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
• Advanced English proficiency, above 80%.
