Financial Manager
Job description
Direct, plan, and control financial management, accounting, and taxation of the organization, ensuring its economic stability, profitability, and compliance with regulatory norms. Provide strategic financial analysis to support high-impact decisions and strengthen competitiveness in import/export operations, as well as in perishable product management.
2. Main ResponsibilitiesA. Strategic Management- Design and execute a financial strategy aligned with corporate objectives and expansion plans.
- Prepare financial reports for senior management and governing bodies.
- Evaluate investment, expansion, and profitability projects, developing projections and financial analyses.
- Implement internal control systems that ensure transparency and reliability in financial information.
- Supervise budget planning and control, ensuring proper resource allocation.
- Direct accounting, taxation, and auditing processes, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
- Manage insurance, guarantees, and sureties related to operations.
- Establish policies for compliance and ethical behavior for suppliers.
- Manage treasury and cash flow, optimizing liquidity and profitability.
- Control logistical costs and associated with import/export operations, including cold chain logistics.
- Govern international financing, currency management, and hedging.
- Participate in commercial decisions related to prices, margins, and payment terms.
- Maintain relationships with banks, suppliers, auditors, and regulatory authorities related to fiscal, customs, and financial matters.
- Lead and develop the finance team, promoting efficiency, professionalism, and goal-oriented culture.
Moderate to high level. Can make decisions and implement them with autonomy, informing senior management promptly for approval when necessary.
4. Job ProfileAcademic Formation- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Administration, or International Trade.
- Deseable: MBA or Master's degree in Finance/Administration; certifications or diplomas in international trade.
- Minimum 8 years in financial roles, with at least 3 years in leadership positions.
- Proven experience in sectors such as food, perishable products, refrigerated logistics, import/export.
- Solid knowledge of:
- Fiscal regulations and customs.
- Currency management and hedging.
- Financial planning and budgeting.
- ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) and business intelligence tools.
- Strategic thinking and integral vision of the business.
- High analytical capacity and decision-making based on data.
- Leadership and effective communication.
- Negotiation skills with financial institutions and suppliers.
- Professional ethics, confidentiality, and results-oriented orientation.
- Advanced management of Office tools.
- Availability for travel.
- Up-to-date documentation for international travel (as required).
- Dominance of English (preferable).
- Profitability and operating margin.
- Budget compliance and accuracy.
- Cash flow and working capital management.
- Promptness and accuracy in financial reports.
- Fiscal and regulatory compliance.
- Positive evaluation of internal and external audits.
