Executive Asset Manager

Job description

Origem Energia

Our purpose is to contribute to the development of Brazil through energy integration in a safe, innovative, and efficient manner.

Here, we have no lack of energy to seek the best results, always with safety first. At Origem, there are no 'other people's' problems; we work together as one team and are efficient in everything we do, avoiding waste. We understand that only by doing so will we continue to grow, creating opportunities for everyone and contributing to a safe transition of the Brazilian energy matrix towards a low-carbon economy.

We are looking for an Executive Asset Manager to assume the integrated management of our Alagoas Hub, a relevant asset for our strategy to consolidate ourselves as one of the largest energy hubs in Brazil. In this role, you will be the 'owner of the asset,' responsible for orchestrating an onshore operation—which includes oil and natural gas production, processing, and storage—with a total focus on operational excellence, safety culture, and strategic stakeholder engagement in a rapidly growing scenario. The position is for full-time, 100% in-person work in Alagoas.

Main responsibilities and duties:

1. Asset Management

  • Be responsible for the asset's results: production, lifting cost, OPEX, and decline curve.
  • Be responsible for the generation of the asset's operational KPIs, the control of these indicators, and the development of action plans to correct deviations.
  • Provide support to areas responsible for CAPEX, supporting the prioritization, planning, and feasibility of investments directed at the asset.
  • Define and execute the production strategy and well optimization, in interface with the reservoir and productivity team (linked to the technical directorate) for alignment of production targets.
  • Ensure the reliability and availability of production facilities (wells, lines, pipelines, production and collection stations, and NGL processing plant).

2. Production, Processing, and Storage Operation

  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of production facilities, including separation, oil/gas/water treatment, compression and natural gas processing, injection, and flow.
  • Ensure the operation of natural gas storage, guaranteeing safety, integrity, and management of stored volumes.
  • Manage asset integrity, ensuring inspection, preventive/predictive maintenance, and scheduled shutdowns, prioritizing critical operational safety equipment.
  • Manage the maintenance planning and control process, ensuring scheduling, prioritization, execution, and control of work orders and maintenance indicators.
  • Manage inventory of equipment, materials, and spare parts, ensuring availability of critical items for operation and maintenance, avoiding shutdowns due to lack of materials, and optimizing fixed capital in inventory.
  • Manage the asset's workforce, ensuring staffing levels, productivity, development, and engagement of the teams.
  • Provide support and coordination to the Local Relationship, HSE, Integrity, Well Intervention & Construction, and Construction & Assembly areas—linked to other directorates (Legal, QHSSE & Integrity, Well Intervention & Construction, and Projects, respectively)—but which operate for the asset—ensuring alignment of priorities and integration of field activities.
  • Provide support and coordination to Origem's support areas (Commercial, Legal, Administrative-Financial).
  • Manage asset logistics: warehouses, lifting and load handling equipment, personnel transportation, and diesel supply.
  • Manage operational support: accommodations, catering, security, building maintenance, cleaning and conservation, and industrial cleaning.
  • Manage the product quality analysis laboratory (oil, gas, LPG) and water, ensuring product specifications and compliance with technical and environmental requirements.

3. HSE and Compliance

  • Lead the process and occupational safety culture, with a focus on zero accidents and prevention of major accidents.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with ANP, IBAMA, state environmental agencies, and other authorities, including compliance with environmental licensing conditions and emergency response plans.

4. Institutional Representation

  • Act as the company's official representative before the state government, regulatory bodies, municipalities, communities, landowners, industry entities, and media in the state.
  • Represent the company in forums, industry associations, and strategic interest negotiations.

Requirements and qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, Production) or related fields and postgraduate/MBA in Management areas.
  • Solid experience in production facility operation and onshore or offshore E&P asset management.
  • Technical mastery of oil and natural gas production processes;
  • Regulatory knowledge of the oil and natural gas sector;
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in an operational environment;
  • Experience with operational cost management and productivity of mature assets.
  • Desirable experience in artificial lift, primary processing, flow systems, compression, and natural gas processing.
  • Desirable experience with integrity and reliability management of production and processing facilities.
  • Desirable knowledge in process safety, risk analysis, and barrier management.

The profile we are looking for:

  • Business vision and results orientation;
  • Operational discipline with a focus on productivity and optimization;
  • Executive communication and stakeholder relationship management;
  • Excellent articulation and institutional representation;
  • Negotiation and local partnership building skills;
