Job description

We are looking for an experienced professional in production management from a meat processing factory to help with our client's expansion project.

About our client

Our client is a national medium-sized company that has been growing rapidly over the years and is currently building a new factory that can quintuple its operations in the next few years.

Main responsibilities

The professional will be responsible for:

Gestão Operacional
  • Plan, organize, and control daily production operations (cuts, preparation, grinding, packaging, etc.).

  • Ensure compliance with the Master Production Plan (MPP) in volume, mix, and deadlines.

  • Monitor key indicators: industrial performance, losses, waste, rework, productivity per hour, labor efficiency, cycle time, and operational costs.

Quality and Food Safety
  • Ensure total compliance with standards such as MAPA, SIF, BPF, APPCC/HACCP, SST, and other applicable regulations.

  • Prevent cross-contamination and ensure the maintenance of the cold chain and good hygiene practices.

Pessoal Management
  • Lead, develop, and motivate supervisors, line leaders, and operators.

  • Erect training tracks, performance evaluations, and development plans.

  • Ensure a positive organizational climate and a culture of continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement and Efficiency
  • Implement continuous improvement practices.

  • Evaluate and optimize processes to reduce costs, increase performance, and improve productivity.

  • Support expansion projects, automation, and modernization of equipment.

Resource Management
  • Control and optimize the use of inputs, raw materials, energy, and labor.

  • Work alongside Supply Chain and Maintenance to ensure material availability and equipment readiness.

  • Participate in budget development and industrial cost management.

Safety at Work
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and preventive measures.

  • Foster a culture of safety and accident prevention.

About the desired profile

The candidate should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Production Engineering, Food Engineering, or related fields.

  • Consolidated experience in leadership positions in meat processing industries (beef, poultry, pork, sausages, or related).

  • Familiarity with quality and food safety systems (BPF, APPCC, SIF/MAPA).

  • Knowledge of continuous improvement and industrial KPI management.

  • Ability to read technical reports and analyze data.

  • Leadership and ability to engage large teams.

  • Clear communication and conflict management.

  • Data-driven decision-making.

  • A practical, analytical, and results-oriented profile.
