Maintenance Manager

About the company:

  • Global company of German origin, market leader in the packaging industry, seeking its new Maintenance Manager.


Candidate Profile and Knowledge:

  • Education: Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a maintenance head / manager.
  • Business Knowledge: Ideally from the packaging or metalworking manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with implementation and execution of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) methodology.
  • Experience with predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance.
  • Advanced English (contact with Europe and US).
  • Desirable experience with SAP and/or maintenance management software.

Position Objective and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, and supervise preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities and repairs so that machinery, buildings, facilities, and equipment function reliably.
  • Plan, prioritize, schedule, and manage maintenance activities to correct failures, analyze breakdowns, execute action plans to systematically minimize business interruptions by establishing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop maintenance personnel so that repair and service activities are completed accurately, safely, and on time.
  • Comply with and monitor the guidelines and standards established by the company and the corresponding authorities regarding Safety, Hygiene, and Environment with the aim of preserving our main objective: zero accidents/incidents.
  • Manage the preventive/predictive maintenance program for the conservation of machinery in optimal operating conditions. Develop and update preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime from unplanned machinery repairs.
  • Plan and supervise the correct execution of preventive and corrective maintenance work to ensure a smooth machinery startup. Receive and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance work orders to ensure their completion.
  • Request and monitor materials and spare parts required for preventive and corrective maintenance to have them available in a timely manner. In conjunction with the materials and spare parts warehouse, establish a program of minimums, maximums, and reorder points that guarantee the necessary supply to comply with maintenance programs.
