Job Description

A company in the energy sector seeks an Expansion Manager to lead the opening of new LPG stations. They will be responsible for the project from start to finish: from defining location criteria and market analysis, to searching for and negotiating land, investment analysis, permit management, construction execution, and handing over the station ready for operation ("turnkey") to the Operations department.


Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and monitor the performance of their work team.

• Define the criteria (assumptions) for identifying the best expansion points.

• Conduct market and commercial feasibility studies for each location (demand, competition, accessibility, area).

• Search, evaluate, and negotiate land in selected areas.

• Prepare investment analysis and present the business case to management.

• Manage permits and procedures with authorities (municipal, land use, civil protection, CRE, ASEA, environmental impact, among others).

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors on the design and construction of the station.

• Supervise construction execution, controlling timelines, quality, and budget.

• Coordinate equipment and commissioning of the station.

• Serve as a liaison between involved internal departments (legal, finance, security, construction, and operations).

• Follow up on the project after opening to ensure an orderly transition to the Operations department.

• Prepare progress reports and presentations for senior management.


Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in expansion projects, real estate development, or project management.

• Experience leading work teams (minimum 2 people in charge).

• Desirable: experience in the hydrocarbon sector, due to knowledge of applicable regulations and legal requirements.

• Knowledge of procedures and permits with authorities (municipal, CRE, ASEA, civil protection, environmental impact).

• Negotiation skills with landowners, suppliers, and business partners.

• Availability to travel.
