Geotechnical Engineer - Construction Supervisor

We’re hiring a Geotechnical Construction Supervisor for a top-tier mining EPCM . This role provides hands-on geotechnical support during construction, ensuring works are delivered in line with approved designs, specifications, and quality requirements, while responding to variable ground conditions and borrow materials on site. Role Details Contract: 12 months Location: Pilbara Roster: 2:1 (11.5-hour days) Mobility: FIFO Key Responsibilities Provide geotechnical support and supervision across entire project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with approved designs, specifications, and quality requirements. Coordinate and supervise site-based geotechnical activities, including monitoring and reporting on ground conditions, borrow materials, and construction progress. Collaborate with project team to develop and implement effective geotechnical strategies, considering variable ground conditions and potential risks. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of geotechnical data and observations, as well as compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Key Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related field 5+ years’ experience in geotechnical engineering, preferably in mining or construction industry Strong understanding of geotechnical principles, including soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and groundwater flow Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word Familiarity with project management tools and software (e.g., Primavera, Asana) Certifications: None specified.
