About the role You’ll focus on geometric design for land development projects: think earthworks, alignments, roading geometry, and general civil layout.
You’ll initially slot into the design engine, but there’s clear scope to grow into full lifecycle delivery: design lead, construction monitoring, 3910 contract admin, and direct client liaison once you’re ready. They’re open about that pathway and support it.

Key responsibilities

• Produce geometric design using 12d or Civil 3D
• Support seniors on large-scale land development projects
• Collaborate closely with the in-house drafter
• Contribute to earthworks, roading and civil design packages
• Assist with design checks, QA, and project coordination

What you will need

• 12d or Civil 3D skills — either is fine
• 4–6 years’ civil design experience (open to less for the right person)
• Clear experience in land development — not 3 Waters or heavy infrastructure
• Strong communication and a willingness to grow into broader project delivery
• A practical, solutions-focused approach
• Current NZ working rights + NZ engineering experience
