Senior Geologist – Resources and Reserves

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Geologist to work in the Corporate Resources and Reserves Management, with a focus on mineral resource modeling and estimation for the company's different sites.

The position will have a corporate role and a strategic part in the integration between Mineral Resources, Mineral Exploration, Mine Geology, and Operation, technically supporting the site teams and contributing to the quality, consistency, and reliability of resource evaluations.

The professional will also participate in the development and improvement of corporate processes, methodologies, and best practices, in addition to supporting mineral reconciliation and decision-making related to mineral resource management.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and update geological models and mineral resource estimates;
• Evaluate and interpret geological and drilling data, ensuring its quality and consistency;
• Evaluate uncertainty and support resource classification according to industry best practices;
• Integrate information from different disciplines and areas, contributing to an integrated resource evaluation;
• Act as a reference and technical support for the Resources, Mine Geology, Mineral Exploration, and Operation teams at the sites;
• Support the standardization and continuous improvement of corporate processes, methodologies, and systems;
• Contribute to the training and technical development of teams;
• Support reconciliation analyses and evaluations intended for planning and decision-making;
• Write technical resource declaration reports and reports for ANM (Agência Nacional de Mineração);
• Conduct site visits and travel, as required by the role.

Mandatory Requirements

• Completed university degree in Geology;
• Solid experience in Mineral Resources, including work in modeling and estimation;
• Experience in mine geology and operation;
• Experience and knowledge of sampling, QAQC, databases, and mineral reconciliation;
• Advanced Leapfrog, including EDGE and CENTRAL tools;
• English at a level compatible with working in a corporate and international technical environment.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience in Studio RM, Supervisor, and ISATIS;
• Experience in automating resource estimation routines, including knowledge of programming, scripts, and Python;
• Postgraduate or Master's degree in the area of resources and/or reconciliation.
