About the Opportunity

Leading provider in the private healthcare sector delivering tertiary surgical care and minimally invasive (MIS) services across Gujarat. We are expanding our on-site surgical team in Veraval to strengthen general surgery and laparoscopy capabilities for elective and emergency care.

Role & Responsibilities

• Perform elective and emergency laparoscopic and open general surgical procedures with high clinical standards and patient safety.
• Manage peri-operative patient care: pre-operative assessment, informed consent, intra-operative decision-making, and post-operative follow-up.
• Lead and develop the minimally invasive surgery program: introduce evidence-based protocols, optimize surgical workflows, and maintain procedure logs.
• Supervise and mentor junior surgeons, residents, and theatre staff; deliver hands-on training in laparoscopy and instrument handling.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (anesthesia, radiology, critical care) to coordinate complex cases and ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, participate in morbidity & mortality reviews, and adhere to infection-control and safety protocols.

• MBBS and MS (General Surgery) or DNB (General Surgery).
• Registered with the relevant Indian Medical Council / State Medical Council.
• Proven consultant experience performing independent laparoscopic procedures and managing peri-operative care.
• Certification in BLS; ACLS/ATLS preferred.
