General Medicine Consultant | Darwin NT

Job description

We are seeking a Consultant in General Medicine to become a member of a major hospital team within a prestigious, multi-disciplinary facility located in Northern Australia.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced General Medicine Consultant to provide high-level clinical expertise in a busy, acute-care hospital.

You will be responsible for managing a range of complex medical conditions, providing leadership to junior medical staff, and contributing to the teaching and development of future healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert medical care for a wide range of adult patients in a hospital setting.
  • Manage complex medical cases across various specialties and work closely with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Lead and mentor junior medical staff and contribute to the educational development of trainees.
  • Engage in clinical audits and quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Participate in on-call and after-hours services as required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • FRACP (Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians) or equivalent specialist qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in general medicine with a broad range of medical conditions.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
