General Manager

A well-established manufacturing company is looking for an experienced General Manager with strong leadership, operational, and financial management expertise to join their team in Cape Town, Western Cape. The ideal candidate will oversee end-to-end operations, drive business performance, and ensure alignment between production, sales, and customer service while maintaining profitability and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations across manufacturing, technical, sales, and installation functions.

• Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability.

• Develop and monitor KPIs to track business performance and ensure targets are met.

• Recruit, train, and mentor staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.

• Ensure high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.

• Implement process improvements and operational efficiencies.

• Provide regular reports and updates to senior leadership.

• Uphold compliance with industry regulations, workplace safety, and labour practices.

Requirements:

• Proven management experience in a manufacturing, construction, or technical services environment.

• Strong understanding of business performance metrics (e.g., EBITDA) and operational excellence methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma).

• Knowledge of workplace compliance frameworks such as COIDA principles.

• National Diploma in Small Business Management, Entrepreneurship, or a related field (advantageous).

• Excellent leadership, financial acumen, and problem-solving skills.
