General Manager – Operations Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania (frequent travel to site) Reports To: Board of Directors (dotted line to Managing Director) Role Overall responsibility for strategy, operations, assets, and P&L of the company’s industrial solar salt business in Tanzania, including salt fields, processing facilities, and domestic/export operations. Key Responsibilities Define and execute business strategy aligned with the Board Full ownership of operations, infrastructure, manufacturing processes, and supply chain management Ensure alignment with company values and culture Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for industrial solar salt business Identify and mitigate risks to ensure business continuity Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and profitability Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) include: revenue growth, cost reduction, and operational efficiency. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field At least 10 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the energy sector Strong understanding of industrial solar salt production processes and supply chain management Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities Benefits Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunity to lead a high-growth business and make a meaningful impact on the company’s success
