General Manager

Our client, a well-established automotive electronics and vehicle security solutions company, is seeking a dynamic and commercially driven General Manager to lead their operations based in Durban. This role is ideal for a strategic and hands‑on leader with strong experience in business development, sales, and operational management within the automotive, electronics, or manufacturing sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth, expanding market presence (locally and internationally), and ensuring the effective management of the company's operations. Key responsibilities will include: • Developing and implementing business strategies to drive growth and increase revenue • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners • Leading and managing a team of professionals to achieve business objectives • Collaborating with the management team to develop and implement operational plans and budgets • Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements • Identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities and partnerships • Developing and managing budgets and financial plans to achieve business objectives • Providing leadership and guidance to the operations team to ensure effective management of the company's operations. The ideal candidate will have: • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, engineering, or a related field • At least 5 years of experience in a senior management role, preferably in the automotive, electronics, or manufacturing sectors • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances • Strong understanding of the automotive, electronics, and manufacturing sectors, with the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities • Ability to travel occasionally, as required.
