General Manager – Luxury Tented Safari Camp | Tanzania Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and inspiring General Manager to lead the operations of a renowned luxury tented safari camp in Tanzania. This live-in position offers an incredible opportunity for a highly motivated and dynamic hospitality professional to manage a world-class safari experience in one of Africa’s most iconic destinations. Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience | Live-In Key Responsibilities Lead the overall strategy and direction of the camp, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and high levels of customer satisfaction; Develop and implement effective operational plans, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation; Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting teamwork, open communication, and continuous learning; Build and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers, partners, and stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and maximum value for the camp; Collaborate with the HR department to develop and implement effective recruitment, training, and retention strategies; Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards; Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to drive business growth and profitability; Oversee the management of all camp facilities, including accommodations, dining, and recreational activities; Manage and lead a team of department heads and staff members, providing guidance, coaching, and support as needed; Ensure the highest levels of health, safety, and environmental sustainability standards are maintained throughout the camp; Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive occupancy and revenue growth; Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders to ensure long-term sustainability and social responsibility; Provide exceptional leadership and guidance to the camp team, fostering a culture of innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement; Ensure the highest levels of quality, service, and attention to detail are maintained throughout all aspects of camp operations. | Live-In Requirements A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior management role within the hospitality industry; Proven track record of success in leading high-performing teams and driving business growth; Strong understanding of luxury hospitality standards and best practices; Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills; Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines; Strong analytical and financial management skills; Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers, partners, and stakeholders; Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental sustainability standards. | Benefits Competitive salary package; Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; Generous accommodation allowance; Paid time off and holidays; Professional development opportunities; Access to exclusive travel discounts and perks.
