GENERAL MANAGER VACANCY ALERT General Manager Botswana Luxury 5-Star Safari Lodge (Live-in) Salary: Negotiable (DOE) Role Overview: A senior leadership position responsible for the full operational, financial, and strategic management of a luxury 5-star lodge. The General Manager will ensure world-class guest experiences, strong team leadership, financial sustainability, and alignment with conservation and community initiatives. Key Responsibilities: • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including guests, staff, suppliers, and local communities. • Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the overall guest experience. • Ensure the lodge's financial performance is in line with budget and targets, making adjustments as necessary. • Foster a positive and inclusive work culture, promoting employee engagement, development, and retention. • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement marketing strategies, promotional campaigns, and public relations initiatives. • Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers, partners, and stakeholders to ensure the lodge's sustainability and social responsibility goals are met. • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. • Manage and lead a diverse team of staff, including hospitality professionals, conservationists, and administrative personnel. • Develop and implement training programs for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge. • Monitor and control expenses, ensuring the lodge's financial performance is in line with budget and targets. • Ensure the lodge's facilities and equipment are well-maintained and up-to-date. • Develop and maintain relationships with local communities, conservation organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure the lodge's social responsibility goals are met. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role within the hospitality industry. • Proven track record of success in managing luxury hotels, resorts, or lodges. • Strong understanding of the luxury hospitality market and trends. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
