About the job General Manager - Global Mining Manufacturer - East Rand Our client, a global mining manufacturer, is looking for an experienced General Manager to drive operational excellence and organizational growth. The ideal candidate will have extensive management experience, commercial acumen, and strong team leadership skills. They should be knowledgeable in BBBEE, disciplinary procedures, health and safety, and possess a technical science background. Business development and sales experience is also advantageous. Responsibilities: * Oversee all aspects of the company's operations, ensuring efficient and effective performance. * Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company goals and objectives. * Lead and motivate a team of employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment. * Manage the company's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. * Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including BBBEE, health and safety, and environmental regulations. * Identify and pursue new business opportunities, driving sales growth and market expansion. * Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and industry partners. * Manage and oversee the company’s manufacturing operations. * Monitor and evaluate the performance of key departments and individuals, providing feedback and guidance as needed. * Ensure the implementation and adherence to disciplinary procedures. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in a technical science field (e.g., engineering, mining). * Proven experience in a senior management role, preferably within the mining or manufacturing industry. * Strong understanding of BBBEE regulations and requirements. * Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. * Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and achieve business growth. * Solid financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. * In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices. * Experience in business development and sales. * Experience managing and overseeing manufacturing operations. * Strong understanding of disciplinary procedures.
