Job Description General Manager (Manufacturing Operations) – State of Mexico, Mexico We are partnering with a European industrial organization to recruit a highly experienced General Manager to lead country operations in Mexico. The ideal candidate is an operationally focused leader with deep experience in high-volume, low-margin manufacturing environments , preferably with exposure to plastics processing , injection molding, or similarly fast-paced production settings. This role requires someone who can seamlessly integrate into a highly technical, fast-paced setting and who has proven skills in process optimization, people management, and budgetary control. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Strategic Management: Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with the company's overall objectives for the Mexican operations. Provide strong leadership to all departments, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Oversee all aspects of operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, and logistics. Operational Excellence: Drive operational efficiency through the optimization of processes, the implementation of best practices, and the reduction of waste. Ensure that production targets are met or exceeded while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement. Financial Management: Manage the budget for the Mexican operations, ensuring that financial goals are met. Monitor financial performance, identify variances, and implement corrective actions as needed. Oversee cost control measures and implement strategies to improve profitability. People Management: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team. Foster a positive and engaging work environment that promotes employee satisfaction and retention. Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to employees. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Identify and mitigate risks related to operations, safety, and security. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus. Proven experience as a General Manager or similar leadership role in a manufacturing environment. Deep understanding of high-volume, low-margin manufacturing environments. Experience with plastics processing, injection molding, or similar technologies is preferred. Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
