We are looking for a General Ledger Accountant to join our team. Our client is an international operating industrial company from the chemical industry sector. With high-quality products, a strong brand portfolio, and locations in several countries, the company counts among the leading providers of its branch. The Finance Team in Germany has recently been rebuilt and offers the opportunity to actively shape structures and take on responsibility.

Your Tasks
  • Responsibility for ongoing main accounting according to HGB and IFRS, particularly in the area of Capital Assets

  • Participation in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for German and Dutch companies

  • Interface function to departments such as Controlling, Taxes, Cost Accounting, and HR

  • Synchronization with external service providers and communication in German and English

  • Analysis of deviations in balance sheet and profit and loss statement, ensuring consistency between main and subsidiary ledgers

  • Preparation of reports for the IFRS consolidated financial statements in accordance with accounting guidelines

  • Participation in projects to optimize accounting processes and develop SAP S/4HANA

Your Profile
  • Completed commercial training with further education as a certified accountant or comparable qualification

  • Multiple years of experience in main accounting, ideally in an international industrial company

  • In-depth knowledge of HGB and IFRS, preferably also in the area of taxes

  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and MS Office

  • Very good English skills in writing and speaking

  • You personally convince through initiative, accuracy, teamwork, and joy in flat hierarchies
