General Counsel, Head of Legal

In this role, you will lead the legal function for a fast‑growing international organization, providing strategic, operational, and transactional guidance across multiple jurisdictions. You will shape the company’s global legal structure, support expansion plans, and ensure compliance with corporate, tax, and regulatory frameworks. The position involves managing a team and collaborating with cross‑functional departments. Key Responsibilities: * Provide strategic legal advice to the executive team and board of directors. * Oversee all legal matters, including contracts, intellectual property, litigation, and regulatory compliance. * Manage and develop the legal team. * Support international expansion and market entry strategies. * Ensure compliance with corporate governance, data privacy (GDPR), and other relevant laws. * Manage external legal counsel and budgets. * Negotiate and draft contracts. * Identify and mitigate legal risks. Qualifications: * Law degree from a reputable university. * Significant experience as a General Counsel or Head of Legal, preferably within an international organization. * Strong understanding of corporate law, commercial law, and regulatory compliance. * Experience with international business and expansion. * Excellent leadership and communication skills. * Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus. * Experience with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR). * Ability to work in Spain.
