General Accountant – Montreal (bilingual English/French)

Job Description Prepare precise and punctual financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) Analyze monthly profit and loss statements to detect any anomalies or issues that need to be brought to the controller's attention Be responsible for all aspects of the end-of-month closing process, including recording payable charges, intercompany transfers, as well as preparing and submitting financial reports to management Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements Conduct analytical reviews of financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential issues Provide recommendations for improving financial performance and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements Collaborate with the controller to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, banks, and other stakeholders Ensure confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive financial information
