We are looking for a professional with solid experience in applied genealogy for citizenship processes, able to conduct complex investigations, interpret historical documents, and act as a technical reference for the team in cases of greater complexity.

Your role
We are seeking an Expert in Genealogical Research to work in a strategic position, directly contributing to the technical quality of researches and the success of recognition processes for European citizenship.
We are looking for a professional with solid experience in applied genealogy for citizenship processes, able to conduct complex investigations, interpret historical documents, and act as a technical reference for the team in cases of greater complexity.
Your main responsibilities
- Conduct detailed genealogical research using primary and secondary sources;
- Investigate and reconstruct family lines for European citizenship recognition processes;
- Develop, analyze, and interpret genealogical trees;
- Analyze historical documents, civil records, ecclesiastical records, census records, and other documentary sources;
- Publish genealogical reports and probative files on ancestry;
- Perform searches, validations, and cross-checking of information to identify necessary documents for processes;
- Define research strategies for complex cases and support specialized technical analyses;
- Act as a technical reference for sharing knowledge and good practices with the team;
- Contribute to continuous process improvement, methodologies, and operational flows in the area;
- Prioritize consultative support to clients during stages related to proving ancestry;
- Use databases, historical archives, and specialized genealogical research tools;
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on laws, requirements, and procedures related to citizenship by descent in different European countries.
We are looking for a professional with an analytical profile, strong intellectual curiosity, investigative thinking, and resilience in conducting complex researches, able to formulate, test, and validate hypotheses to solve challenges and find evidence even when faced with limited information scenarios.
To succeed in this position, you must have:
- Higher education in History with a postgraduate or master's degree in Genealogy, Archival Science, etc.;
- More than 5 years of practical experience in European citizenship research;
- Experience in researching national and international databases;
- Advanced knowledge in documentary analysis and historical investigation;
- Experience in building and validating genealogical trees;
- Able to conduct complex researches with total autonomy;
- Able to structure and transfer knowledge.
- Knowledge of paleography and reading historical manuscripts;
- Experience with all European citizenship processes;
- Reading skills in Italian, German, Spanish, or Latin;
- Orientation, mentoring, or professional development experience;
