Area Manager (m/w/d) sought for Berlin and surrounding areas

The GECO GmbH, headquartered in Zittau, has a nationwide network of branches in the tobacco, tobacco accessories, press articles, lottery, and Deutsche Post sectors.

The GECO GmbH was founded in 2010 and currently has 112 branches.

We are looking for an Area Manager (m/w/d) on a full-time basis to manage our sales regions in Berlin and the surrounding areas.

Aufgaben

• Management of approximately 12 branches
• Workforce planning and team leadership
• Promotional recruitment
• Organization and implementation of employee training
• Compliance with and monitoring of labor laws
• Inventory management
• Implementation of youth protection, addiction prevention, and safety regulations
• Advertising and active sales promotion/motivational activities at the point of sale
• Active shop/filial optimization
• Ensuring sustainable growth while considering revenue targets
• Revenue, cost, and profit responsibility in the sales region
• Preliminary preparation, roll-out, and commissioning of new branch locations
• Maintenance of important business relationships with, among others, CEOs/m/f/d and site managers/m/f/d on leased premises, lottery partners/m/f/d, Deutsche Post partners/m/f/d, press distribution partners/m/f/d, tobacco products suppliers

Qualifikation

• You have several years of experience in personnel management.
• You are a role model for customer friendliness among your employees.
• You have good knowledge of cash register systems and IT.
• You are characterized by high commitment and sense of responsibility.
• You possess the ability to lead and motivate employees/m/f.
• You have completed an apprenticeship or equivalent in a commercial field.
• If possible, you have already acquired knowledge/experience in responsible positions in the tobacco and press products sectors as well as the lottery and Deutsche Post businesses.
