GCC Project Manager: Coal Shafts – Mining Industry – R2Mil – R1.5Mil

RPO Recruitment’s client is urgently seeking the expertise of a GCC Project Manager – Coal Shafts in the Gauteng Province. This exciting role is with a multi-disciplinary engineering design and project management enterprise, specialising in innovative and sustainable techno-economic holistic solutions for mining projects, from concept stage to commissioning and handover. Responsibilities: Ensure the health, safety, and environmental performance of the assigned project and/or package. Oversee the project’s progress, ensuring timely and within budget delivery. Coordinate and manage the project’s resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams. Identify and mitigate risks, and develop contingency plans as necessary. Monitor and report on project progress, costs, and performance. Provide technical guidance and support to project team members. Ensure the project’s documentation, including reports, records, and files, is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. Develop and implement project management plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. Coordinate and manage project meetings, including agendas, minutes, and action items. Ensure the project’s close-out, including final reporting, documentation, and handover to the client. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the mining industry. Strong understanding of project management principles, practices, and tools. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
