Gas Technician - Field

The Gas Technician – Field is responsible for ensuring a continuous supply of good quality gas for power generation and odour control through balancing the gas well field, by eliminating the ingress of air into the landfill. Ensure any gas leak repairs are carried out in a safe, efficient and timely manner, compliant with all WM New Zealand policies.

Your key duties will include:

• Install and maintain gas field pipe work.
• Install and maintain leachate pipes.
• Field gas monitoring (well heads) and adjusting, where necessary.
• FID monitoring and reporting.
• Operating LEU and Flare.
• Complete any required documentation, promptly reporting any faults found with equipment, leachate and/or pipe work to your direct line manager.
• Ensure all company policies, procedures, administration and finance business rules are followed.
• Deliver the highest standard in professional conduct, personal presentation and company image.
• Demonstrate an ability to review and improve the tasks and functions undertaken.
• Continuously improve the quality of the service provided.
